Concentration Portfolio

My concentration explores the culture and beauty of a different country, like Japan. This interested me because I was able to experience a culture other than mine. As far as techniques are concerned, I used photo-shop to enhance some of the images in order to bring out the true colors more. Most of my images exhibit the principle of depth to draw the viewer’s eye toward my main focus. The same strategy is employed with the angle of the camera and the leading lines used within the image. These elements became more prominent in each photo I shot. I finally started to see colors of the world differently, which is exactly what I wanted to capture while shooting in Japan. In images one through four, I tried to capture the basic life of Japan. Images five through nine, I began to contemplate more on the different angles and emotions that accompanied the beauty of a different country. I included city life, bodies of water and even different angles in nature. I attempted to show more depth within the images to show a new perspective. Images ten and eleven further explore the emotions tied into the images and really focus on the feeling that was being conveyed.  Finally, image twelve cohesively ties together showing the true beauty of Japan. This image explored the wide concept of colors, reflection, and overall the Japanese culture.
